The Elder Scrolls 5 – Skyrim: Dawnguard Not Coming to PS3
W’ve waited and waited. Firstly while Xbox users had all the fun thanks to corporate sponsership and secondly while the PC users had their turn. Now it looks like the PS3 will not being seeing the sizable content drop that is Dawnguard, the vampirical DLC for The Elder Scrolls 5 – Skyrim.
In a statement on the official Bethesda blog, imaginatively called Bethsoft, the developers wrote: “Skyrim is a massive and dynamic game that requires a lot of resources, and things get much more complex when you’re talking about a sizable content like Dawnguard. We have tried a number of things, but none of them solve the issue well enough to make Dawnguard good for everyone… Dawnguard is obviously not the only DLC we have been working on either, so the issues of adding content gets even more complicated. This is not an issue we’re positive we can solve.”
So how is this looking for other DLC for Skyrim on the PS3, well not hopeful is the answer. It doesn’t seem right that the company should be forsaking a great swathe of its fanbase, who have already suffered at the hands of the conflict between Skyrim and their console. The original game was almost broken on the PS3 with the lag becoming unbearable if players saved too often.
This is very sad news indeed. How are you feeling about it? Leave your comments in the section below.
