Super Street Fighter 4: Art Work Released
I love concept art books. Sometimes, I could go for hours just staring at lovely photos of how video game characters were conceptualized and if they ever evolved. Capcom has some great official artwork that you may want to check out. These art pieces, put together, will make a great gift for the Capcom gamer fan.
The game concept drawings are all fabulous. The best thing about it, however, was that I have not seen most of the artwork. There is also a section for rejected ideas. There are actually several of those featured. I got to see a male counterpart to C. Viper, who is called Raven. There are also some rejected alternate designs for Juri and Hakan. There are more of these.
One particularly noticeable piece is that of the Capoeira fighter named “Brazilio.” The design has been rejected. I kind of like the idea of this Brazilian fighter but maybe it was rejected because there was something slightly unflattering about how it was modelled as almost a stereotypical smiling brown skinned guy.
There are a couple designs of Brazilio in the rejected pile. So, the artists were really trying to give this guy life. The second design has him in lots of underwear. Oh, well. Is this why the design was rejected? I could not know for sure just by browsing through all the designs. Some, I think, have some promise because as I said, the art pieces included are all beautiful. Would you like to see Brazilio and the other rejected guys sometime in the future? The complete preview collection of artworks you can find at udonentertainment.com.
