Starhawk: Space Combat Trailer Released
A few years back, when the great action-game Warhawk was released, it was considered one of the best multiplayer games in PS3. If you thought Warhawk was great, you should check out the trailer for the upcoming PS3-exclusive Starhawk. This cinematic trailer shows space combat, which is quite sickening and exciting at the same time. It shows the conflict between human invaders and their alien enemies. The humans have their flying jetpacks – just taking out and assaulting an alien space city. There is a lot of airborne combat with infantry units shooting it out with aliens.
There’s a lot of space platforms that you can jump on if you want to escape your alien enemies. Be careful when you do that, though, because the aliens have their huge robots ready to stomp on the human infantry units. According to the video, they can only be taken out from above.
Starhawk seems to deliver the multiplayer capabilities of Warhawks because of the pure thrills of just going through this space city and being shot at by defending units. There are so many other combat units against you and so many enemies chase after your unit. You try to dodge through asteroid belts and through space city streets. You are forced to do evasive maneuvers and to trick your pursuers to exposing themselves so you could blast them. This very exciting space based action-game for the PS3 is not for the faint of heart. It is definitely something to look forward to by 2012.
