Soul Calibur 5: Game Trailer Showcases Custom Character
Have you seen the Soul Calibur 5 trailer that shows a fighter called “Soul of Devil Jin”? Have you heard of such a character? Well, it seems that Soul of Devil Jin is a custom-made fighter that a development team member has created using Soul Calibur 5’s character creator tools. Also, it looks like this particular team member has modelled the character from Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada.
If you know how to use those tools, wouldn’t you be tempted to create a character based on someone you personally know? I would certainly try. I mean, just think of some of the games where you are allowed to create characters. Don’t you just sometimes try to make that character look as much like you as you can? Some people completely invent character’s appearances but some don’t. Which one are you? Because I would gladly try the character creator tools to fashion I know, I think that the one who designed the Harada lookalike has done it in good jest. The great moves that the character is able to execute are proofs of this. Anyway, here we go again. Yeah, when talking about tournament games such as Soul Calibur 5, there is a tendency to focus on the characters. This time around though, the character focused on is not even part of the game. Don’t you wish you can design a character that you can also include in the actual game roster? That would be nice. How about a contest on best new character design? Yeah, I know. Maybe I am pushing it.
Anyway, Soul Calibur 5 reviews are now out even before the game release in the US this coming January 31. The game releases in Europe this February 3. Is there any chance, by the way, that we will get to see Soul of Devil Jin again?
