Silent Hill – Downpour: Fans Disappointed By Delay
An October release makes sense for a horror title, whether it is a game, film or book. So, it was making a lot of sense for Silent Hill fans to keep their hopes up about old news – that Silent Hill Downpour together with the Silent Hill collection in HD are due this October.
Sad to say, that is no longer the case. Our Halloween will not be graced with the mentioned Silent Hill titles. Instead, we have to wait for St. Patrick’s Day or something like that. You heard it right. It seems that we are the ones who are going to turn green waiting because the release has been moved to 2012.
The Silent Hill titles are considered to be “officially” delayed. Konami reps say that the titles should be out by early 2012 via most retailers. Early 2012 is pretty vague. So, we hope that it won’t stretch somewhere near midyear. We can also hope that the delay has been caused because of some cool add-ons and improvements.

Well, it is known that Vetra Games is still setting Silent Hill Downpour for release on PS3 and Xbox 360. This time, the game will feature Murphy Pendleton as a new hero. The Silent Hill HD collection contains Silent Hills II and III to the above mentioned consoles.
