Silent Hill – Downpour : Early 2012 To See 3 Releases
Some publishers focus on packing as much content into one title and making it very dense. The Elder Scrolls series is a good example of this game publishing strategy. Other publishers focus on a “more is better” philosophy. It looks like veteran Japanese game publishing house Konami falls into this camp – at least when it concerns Silent Hill. The Konami survival horror series Silent Hill is set to see three releases in the first quarter of 2012. This coming January, PS3 players can snap up the Silent Hill HD Collection to play Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3. These hi definition updates have brand new voiceover tracks and they will now support trophies.

Silent Hill – Book of Memories will be debuting in February. Its arrival is lined up just around the time of Sony Playstation Vita’s much awaited launch. Unlike past Silent Hill releases, Book of Memories will be a co-op adventure where you can play with up to three buddies. According to recent screenshots, players will have to navigate through worlds using an elemental theme of light, earth, water, and fire. Finally, Silent Hill – Downpour will finally launch in March for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms. Downpour marks quite a dramatic and ambitious turn for the series so far since it features very dense content (players can thoroughly check out the Silent Hill town) and feature side missions.
