Resident Evil – Operation Raccon City: Latest Trailer Shows off Multiplayer Action
The newest trailer for Resident Evil – Operation Raccoon City shows off how the game handles human versus human action. In this video, the two teams, USS Wolfpack and Echo Six take each other on after navigating through several levels of a mutant-filled map. The PC version for this game will drop sometime in May. Lucky console owners get the game earlier on March 20. We’ve included a description of some parts of the video footage below.
The video starts with a team in what appears to be a warehouse, the crew takes down oncoming units as the lead player blasts through enemy units. The gameplay looks like your standard multiplayer third person shooter gameplay. There is a location mini-map display on the upper right hand side. Your inventory selections are shown in a graphic on the lower left if you are swapping out weapons. Your currently activated weapon is on the upper left hand side. The mini-map also shows red dots where your enemies are located up ahead. You get a bullet counter on the lower right hand side.
A wide variety of horrific mutated creatures rush at you in waves as you charge ahead. While the lighting is nothing compared to Battlefield 3, the gameplay does indicate quite a bit of polish and your interaction with mutated enemies does have a lot of immediacy and it appears to be quite easy to get caught up in the action of this game. Resident Evil is a survival horror action series and has been around for a long time. This trailer does more than an adequate job in demonstrating why many fans like the series.
