Prototype 2: The Game’s New Screens Are Now Out
Prototype 2’s nine new screens have just been released by Activision. The screenshots reveal some in-game action as well as some enemy design. There is nothing that different about the creatures, however, as they look to be of the conventional Prototype kind. With nine new screenshots, you get to have a bit more knowledge about what Prototype 2 is all about. The game will be out on April 24, 2012 for both the PS3 and the Xbox 360.
While the design is still typical Prototype, we are happy that the visuals are still as awesome as ever. The game’s character design has always been on the realistic side with shadows in the right places. At least, the design is consistent, though not necessarily different or improved. Now, we have some visual info on what monsters to expect and what a few scenarios to look forward to, with only about a couple of months to go. Protagonist 2 is a sequel to the 2009 original game. Canadian studio Radical Entertainment developed the game and the studio’s owner, Activision serves as publisher. The Prototype stories are fuelled by revenge. While the overall design of the franchise is still the same, the main protagonist is completely new. Prototype 2 sees Sergeant James Heller try to avenge his family’s death by going after the original’s protagonist, Alex Mercer. There has been word that Heller is created as a more likable protagonist than Mercer ever was. Heller will be given a deeper treatment as a character.

Though there are some players who did not like Mercer, the original Prototype still did very well. In fact, its success was the one that triggered the subsequent development of the sequel, which is finally nearing its launch. The new screens may be attractive but fans may want trailers that could show in-game movement before the game is released.
