Mortal Kombat 9: Game Becomes More Awesome with Patch
Developing games is not for the faint-hearted. So many things can go wrong. There may be some issues and glitches you didn’t catch during beta and alpha testing. There might be some situations you did not foresee and can only know of them when the game interacts with actual players’ playing styles and situations. That’s why the video game patch was invented. This late addition software update takes care of bugs, errors, design flaws, content holes, you name it. On the whole, patches are meant to remedy and fix issues – sometimes they can also serve to increase the overall quality of a game. A good patch can make a game even more awesome. That is exactly what happened with the patch for Mortal Kombat 9.

It fixed some issues regarding crash scenarios, DLC billboard problems for the Xbox, there are no longer any desynching issues with the Xbox when you try to use it with certain DLC packages, serious tweakvar corruption has been dealt with, among other fixes. In terms of content fixes, you can now perform a block after completing a dash forward if you cancel to that move from a special move. Canceling into a dash has now been normalized across all characters. Canceling dash block remains in effect. When you have incapacitated an enemy, the wake up attacks will have better invulnerability as long as you do this within the first 4 frames of the wakeup window. Overall, the patch made the game even better.
