Metal Gear Solid 5: Kojima Wants To Make It
At the moment, nothing is really that sure when it comes to Metal Gear Solid 5. For awhile there, we thought that the plans for the game were pretty solid. One such supposedly solid information is that creator Hideo Kojima will be directing. Unfortunately, there is some stuff from the PlayStation Magazine that make us think that nothing really is certain just yet.
Kojima did not do what was previously expected, which is to straightforwardly announce MGS 5. Instead he told the magazine that “I think we’ll probably have to make it at some point, but what that will be, we have no idea. As far as my involvement in the project is concerned, [it] probably won’t be as much as it was with MGS1 – maybe I can do just one stage!” Just add on the “maybe”, “think,” and “probably” and we have a super uncertain statement. Add the “we have no idea” part and you are totally lost. Kojima isn’t even eager to be part of MGS5. If he had a choice, he would let Kojima Productions staff take over because he didn’t want to have to try to preserve his original vision for Metal Gear.
Now, we actually have fewer things to go around with. We just no longer know how things will go down. First we don’t even know if there will be a Metal Gear Solid after all. We don’t know if Kojima will be directing. There are all sorts of uncertainties plaguing the whole project that we don’t know it should be worth pursuing especially if the creator itself is no longer enthused to do so.
