Metal Gear Solid 5: Game Setting Announced with Surprise Character
The next installment of the long-running stealth video game Metal Gear Solid series, Metal Gear Solid 5 is, according to a series expert’s analysis, going to be set in 1970s era Africa. What’s more, according to series expert Dan Dawkins, the next installment of the MGS series will treat us to quite an interesting character-it might very well feature the birth of the series’ lead protagonist, Solid Snake.
The in-depth analysis of the next installment of the series published in the latest issue of PSM3. According to the magazine article, Dawkins based his findings on over one year’s worth of tweets from the series’ creator Hideo Kojima. He also factored in a wide range of clues that are already available and he pored over all the “Next MGS” images that have been made public so far. Looks like Dawkins stands head and shoulders above the rest of the video gaming blogosphere’s pundits when it comes to guessing at what a popular series’ next installment brings to the table. The latter group contents itself with just about any piece of evidence-even the most flimsiest piece of uncorroborated information is often deemed worthy enough to build elaborate theories on. Not Dawkins. His approach is more meticulous. For example, he factored in the “Next MGS” clue from Kojima Productions’ recruitment ad at GDC where Big Boss is pictured with large text font “Big Boss Wants You.” It should be interesting if Dawkins’ predictions for Metal Gear Solid 5 pan out.
