Lord of the Rings – War in the North: game action video released
If your appetite for gut wrenching, blood spattering, decapitation, and all around gore haven’t been sated lately, you’re in luck. The latest video release for Lord of the Rings: War in the North showcases actual game play sequences that show some gnarly medieval action. Think of it as Mortal Kombat in Mordor–lots of blood spattering, puncture wounds, bodies getting blown up, and all around carnage, ownage, and mayhem.
In short, this isn’t world of warcraft, boys and girls. This is RPG combat realism taken to yet another bloody level. While realism has been standard fare in FPS, many RPG games have been lagging (although we wouldn’t call the highly realistic and highly graphic God of War an RPG game). Well, just judging from this video Lord of the Rings: War in the North seeks to right that imbalance. It definitely brings quite a hefty amount of graphical realism to the table. Plus, the execution moves are close to works of art.
The multiple angles in combat view just serve to heighten the dramatic tension of the action. It looks like this latest installment of the Lord of the Rings franchise might be worth the wait.
