Final Fantasy 13-3: Square Enix Registrated Domains just as a Precaution
Domain registration has become a clue bloggers and gamers look out for when making game predictions. There is a domain registration for Fantasy 13-3. So, fans are wondering if Square Enix is planning an immediate follow-up to Final Fantasy 13-2, which is not yet even out. Unfortunately, Square Enix public relations officer Akio Ofuji had already immediately debunked this tasty myth, calling the domain registration a mere defensive measure. The registration was supposedly made by the US office. The Japanese Square Enix staff actually just found out when the story was already picked up and brought out by the press.
I guess it can be exciting to find some clues about a game but not all of those clues can be true. After all, just think about it – Final Fantasy 13- 2 is just due to be out. 13-3 could just be too early if ever. The Western release for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will be out early 2012.
There have been other games with domain registrations alerting the press and even some gamers. It can be quite disappointing to find out that the whole thing is just a “defensive measure”, don’t you think? Well, I guess Square Enix just wants to make sure that nobody else will be able to buy the domain names. But how many other people or companies will actually be looking to buy a domain name related to a game that has never been published yet? Anyway, let us wait this out. For now, we still have Final Fantasy 13-2 to wait for. Remmber?
