F.E.A.R. 3: Official launch dates released
The next installment in the horror first person shooter series, F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) is set to hit store shelves in the US on May 24. F.E.A.R. 3 will debut in the UK and Europe three days later on May 27. This is just the latest date for this release. It has suffered a couple of delays already–from October 2010 then March 2011.
Just in case you’ve been hiding under a rock, F.E.A.R. tracks the history of Point Man as he battles evil and occult forces beginning with a confrontation with Paxton Fettel’s telepathic controls of supersoldiers out to wreak havoc. F.E.A.R. 3 reveals that Point Man and Fettel are brothers and a thread of treachery, betrayal, and horror is promised to be in store for this latest installment. Each player will play the characters separately.
This makes for an interesting switch of point of view as Paxton players enjoy his telepathic ability to control other characters and practice telekinesis on opponents. F.E.A.R. 3 is supported on all three major platforms–PC, PS3, and XBOX 360.
