Dead Space 2: Developer About to Start Work on New Series
It seems that Dead Space developer Visceral Games is working on a hot new game. This is what we get from the developer’s current job advertisement targeted towards a possible lead multiplayer designer. The ad shows that the studio seeks a “lead multiplayer designer to help create a thrilling online action shooter game.”
It really looks like a new franchise is on the way from the makers of Dead Space and Dante’s Inferno. Dante’s Inferno, by the way, was the game that sort of feels like God of War. Visceral Games uses the word “create” in the ad. So, the lead multiplayer designer that they are seeking will be playing a major role in the development of a completely new series. Do you have the resume and the skills for the job? The ad goes on to clarify what it is actually seeking by saying that: “This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a bold new franchise which is a cornerstone for a new EA Games Studio.”
That certainly clears things up. Earlier on, Visceral Games has been rumored to be working on a third instalment to the Dead Space series. There is also talk about a possible first person shooter spin-off. However, the ad specifies a “bold new franchise”. This means that the developer is onto something completely new. So, it won’t be something related to its existing franchises.

So if you think you can handle the job, go and send your application to Visceral Games. You could be part of gaming history. If you are a gamer and would like to stick to that, you may want to keep your eyes wide open and your ears perked up. There will be a new franchise coming out from Visceral Games. It may turn out to be an awesome hit that we would like to know early on.
