Dead Island: Three Million Copies Shipped Around The World
Deep Silver’s Dead Island had gone through some rough times but had apparently done very well since its September debut. Dead Island has also landed a spot in the top of the NPD Charts. In fact, the best evidence for its success is the one million units that had been shipped in North American during its very first week. The game was even expected to ship two million units worldwide by the end of the week.
Deep Silver manager of marketing and PR Aubrey Norris has revealed that the game has already shipped three million units all over the world. She said, “Dead Island has sold very, very well over the holiday season and we are thrilled that it has sustained a robust level of sell-through since launch in September.” Norris, however, did not reveal sell through numbers, which could have been better indicators of Dead Island’s overall success. But no matter what the indicators put out there are, Dead Island still sounds like a great success. It is a good thing that the game and its developers have managed to get past the troubles to claim success. Hopefully though, more details will come out about the sales figures.

What do you think of the game? Do you even have a copy of it? I do but I have not really put much effort into it yet I have to admit. While Dead Island is a pretty familiar title, other more popular titles have taken over my gameplay lately but with the statistics in mind, I would give the game a try.
