Dark Souls: It Might Not Be a Race But…

Speed runs: you either feel great about them or you just feel like it’s futile or insane to even try the game now that you know just how someone can effortlessly go through it. If you are going through the speed run yourself, are you some sort of mad genius? Have you gone through the game millions and times, each succeeding time an attempt to outdo your previous time?

Speed runs, after all, are amazing feats of timing and memorization that enable the player to complete sequences that typically finish in several hours in mere minutes. If you open your mind to speed runs, however, you may learn a lot from them. If not, just take in those runs for pure enjoyment. Watch those runs with hanging mouths and wish that you were the ones who were behind the controls.

Just recently, some speed run clips by SexyShoiko have made it to YouTube.  The player went through Dark Souls in less than an hour as demonstrated by the series of seven videos available in the popular video-sharing network. Let me tell you that this is not a simple feat because the game requires seemingly unending hours of devotion just to get through it. I know I am not just speaking for myself when I say this. However, we all cannot deny the fact that one SexyShoiko was able to dominate the game as if it is nothing. His or her virtual grace and skill in completing the difficult tasks can put the game developers to shame. Well, at least there are still people like me.
