Uncharted – Golden Abyss: New Game To Be Announced Soon?
Even though Uncharted – Golden Abyss was launched fairly recently, rumors are flying that a new Uncharted game will be announced soon. What fuels this rumor? VG247 did some investigative work and they tracked down a Facebook tease to a splash page. The page has some music playing and has a date.
These elements do, based on past experiences, fit the profile of an Uncharted tease page regarding an upcoming release. Still, we can’t pull the trigger on this rumor and confirm it. Still, the background music along with a background map and a date sure does appear to fit the standard Uncharted pre-announcement fingerprints. The splash screen says that the announcement will be made on March 22. What goodies are in store for Uncharted series fans with this upcoming release (assuming that it is what we think it is)? You just have to love the wide variety of ways video games are announced. Some pre-announcements are pretty straightforward like the situation above. Others take more sneaky, and more fun, routes. For example, putting out a job ad. Or how about a ‘revealing’ tweet that later gets pulled?
Mysterious countdowns are quite fun if they don’t have that much information revealed-maybe just a logo and a countdown timer. The only limit truly is the imagination of a publisher’s marketing department.
