Uncharted – Golden Abyss: Drake Heads To The Junge For Vita
Uncharted – Golden Abyss, developed by SCE Bend Studio for PS Vita, has events that come before Uncharted – Drake’s Fortune although Naughty Dog clarified that it is not actually a prequel. The plot takes you in the middle of a heated battle between Jason Dante and Marisa Chase wherein protagonist Nathan Drake will be involved with. Players must determine the mystery behind a Spanish expedition that was massacred 400 years ago and lead Drake in discovering the dark secrets of a Spanish sect across dangerous river trails, temple ruins, and Central America’s caverns.
In the 11-minute footage, writer and director John Garvin lets us in to the juicy details we can expect from this latest feature from the series. There is a lot to look forward to – from hand-to-hand action and ingenious gameplay to action-packed gun sequences and motion controls.
Speaking of motion controls, it is just cool to see how Drake takes down the bad guys even from afar. This innovative feature allows Drake to destroy everything on his path in order to be the knight in shining armor for Marisa, his new lady friend.
Surprisingly, Naughty Dog is not involved in Golden Abyss, unlike in the past Uncharted games. Sony Bend, who is notable for its Syphon Filter games, is working on this latest installment of the franchise. But it seems like they are burning the midnight oil in order to live up tot eh expectations. Golden Abyss will be launched in Japan on December 17. It will be out on February 22 for North America and Europe.
