Mortal Kombat: PS Vita Game Gets a Release Date

It may not have been ready in time for the PS Vita launch but Warner Bros. have now confirmed that Mortal Kombat will be available from May 1st in America and May 4th in Europe. We recently reported here on GameBandits that we were excited about this game because it is not a port, it is an entirely new Mortal Kombat game designed specifically for the PS Vita.

The game makes use of the PS Vita’s touch screen and duel analogue sticks by offering gamers extra bonuses and new fatality moves. The game also takes advantage of the PS Vita’s amazing graphics, by supplying the player with stunning new vistas and newly rendered characters. The latest trailer gives you a good idea of the gameplay mechanics. The animations are recognisable from last years Mortal Kombat 9, but clearly adapted for the finger swiping mechanisms of the Vita.

What do you think? Does this game make owning a PS Vita worthwhile? Are you excited for yet another Mortal Kombat game? Write your comments in the section below.
