PS Vita: Mortal Kombat Comes with Touch Screen Fatalities
Have you seen the new gameplay trailer for a new Vita game? Well, this is one is on Mortal Kombat. Yes, the tournament video game will be coming to the new Sony handheld gaming device, the PlayStation Vita. The Mortal Kombat Vita port comes from developer NetherRealm Studios. It is scheduled to be launched this coming spring. It has just been recently announced as a Vita title so the turnaround seems quick enough. The title includes all that the PS3 version has and more. You will get the whole Story Mode as well as some downloadable content that includes characters. There will also be additional features and modes that are exclusive to the PS Vita.
The exclusive features include the touch screen fatalities, a Challenge Tower mode that comes with 150 completely new missions, and one on one matches online. The gameplay has a rate of 60 fps. So, the fighting and the rest of the movements are very smooth. If you have seen the trailer, you already know just how smooth the movements are. The background music is fast as expected in a Mortal Kombat game trailer. It is a good thing that the movements are fast enough to match the music or else it would all look so awkward. In short, the animation and frame rate are awesome. Again, as this is a portable device game trailer, the hands and the device itself often make a showing. This is just right because the trailer is really an advertisement for both the game and the device. The PlayStation Vita is soon to launch in the West and needs all the help it can get.
The trailer director has done well enough to highlight the touch screen fatalities feature near the end. This shows gamers that the Vita has something new to bring to the Mortal Kombat franchise.
