God of War 4: Retailer Claims An Announcement Soon
God of War 4 is about to be announced. At least, that is what retailer Future Shop says. The particular retailer says that it knows some inside details about future releases for the PlayStation 3. Moreover, it says that God of War 4 will be announced in one of Sony’s upcoming events, which may be referring to the Destination PlayStation where some of the future console releases are previewed.
Future Shop referred to the announcement through Twitter. However, it immediately deleted the particular tweet, according to NeoGaf’s “investigators”. Because of the quick posting and removal, the whole thing becomes more interesting. Besides the retailer’s mention of the game, there have been other hints in the recent past that suggest that the next God of War installment is coming soon. There are some job postings, for example but neither Sony nor Santa Monica Studios, have confirmed any of the rumors. At least it is speculated that God of War 4 is being developed in Santa Monica.
Gamers will keep on hoping that the Future Shop tweet plus the other clues out there really mean that the game is soon to be announced. However, it is also safe to just keep calm about the matter for now. We don’t yet know for sure until there is an official announcement. And even official announcements cannot even provide enough assurance that the game will be developed and finished soon.

Still, a God of War 4 announcement does make sense with Destination PlayStation coming soon. Job postings seem to suggest that the game is on its way. However, the only uncertain thing here is that the tweet was immediately removed by Future Shop. Has the retailer been asked by the game’s developers to delete the tweet? Did the retailer instead realized that the post was erroneous? What do you think?
