World of Warcraft – Mists of Pandaria: Release Date Announced

Well there we go, after months of trickling information, Blizzard have finally announced that the next World of Warcraft extension, Mists of Pandaria, will be released on September 25. So go ahead an put on your Kung Fu Panda suits and get in the mood.

Many industry critics have deemed the latest World of Warcraft extension as a last ditch attempt from Blizzard at currying favour for the once most popular MMORPG. Over the last year or so, Blizzard has its subscribers number haemorrhage, only lately seeing them stabilise as the core fanbase struggle to keep the game alive.

The digital edition of the expansion will cost around 40 dollars, but fans can also buy a standard hard copy for $60 and a collector’s edition copy for $80. If you pre-order Mists of Pandaria, Blizzard will let you pre load before the launch. That way you’ll be ready to go the instant the clock strikes midnight. Below is a list of what each edition will contain, according to the press release Blizzard sent us.
