Warhammer 40,000 – Space Marine: THQ Releases Co-Op Gameplay DLC
Early last month, THQ made a promise. Space Marine will be getting a new DLC. True to its word, THQ has just released the DLC, called Exterminatus. The DLC will allow simultaneous co-op gameplay for up to four people. The game can be taken all over two different scenarios that have just been introduced through the add-on. If you have a copy of Space Marine, you will be able to download the Exterminatus DLC through a mandatory update the next time you boot Space Marine up. By the way, the DLC is for the moment available only on PC and PS3. However, word has it that the Xbox 360 version should be ready for download soon.

The DLC is free. So, some of you may wonder if it can offer anything substantial. The Exterminatus DLC is actually a game mode. As mentioned earlier, it allows a maximum of four players to work together. When playing on this mode, you get to choose to be in the Assault Marine, Devastator or Tactical classes. You can also make use of items that you may have unlocked during the game.
Each of the scenarios offered in the DLC will pit you into four separate arenas where you and other players will meet against 20 waves of enemies. There are score performances and leader boards displayed that will make you even more competitive than you already are. Also, there may be challenges that will pop out from time to time. For example, you may be asked to kill a number of Orks at a given time. So, you see? The DLC may be free but it sure offers hours of fun gameplay.
