Total War – Shogun 2: System Requirements disclosed
If you’re rearing to play Total War: Shogun 2 when it gets released later this year, make sure your hardware is up to snuff. The developer of Total War is out to revolutionize the war game genre and Shogun 2 has the video and image rendering firepower to help make this happen. In particular, the recent anouncement that the game’s battle engine has been retooled to fully flesh out its big ambitions of full 3D immersive game play has already raised the bar. All this raw gaming ambition and technological innovation can impose heavy hardware costs so it was quite a relief that Total War’s developer, Creative Assembly, has released the hardware requirements for Shogun 2. This will give war game fans everywhere some time to buff up their computers in anticipation of what would probably be another genre-expanding release from the Total War team.

Just as with any resource-intensive application, we don’t recommend you stick with minimum specs. Since many users multitask or have other applications running in the background, it is always better to shoot for the recommended specs for smoother game play and a better overall experience.
