The Secret World: GDC Presentation Video Fills us in on Game’s Progress

The developer of the upcoming MMORPG The Secret World has released a video of a closed door presentation video of the game during the recently concluded Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. If the title The Secret World seems unfamiliar to you, you probably have heard of it under its past names, Cabal or The World Online. The GDC video features the game’s Senior Producer Ragnar Tørnquist taking turns with other development staff walking us through the in-game footage.

The talk focused on a wide range of topics including the crucial RPG standby, character creation, the Dragon starter mechanics, how the game’s achievement system works, the overall story for this MMORPG, crafting options and details, and, of course, a quick geographic tour fo the weird and wonderful world of Transylvania. Granted, the video isn’t exactly crystal clear and doesn’t possess the highest production value. Funcom apologizes for the video’s quality due to the sub-optimal lighting in the room during the presentation. Still, the presentation has so much information and has caught us up to speed that Funcom can easily be forgiven. Check out the video and get caught up in what this MMORPG has to offer. From the looks of the video, this game has quite a bit to offer.
