StarCraft 2: Try Out The New Units
There will be new units to be introduced to StarCraft 2 – Heart of the Swarm, adding on to the game’s well-tested roster. This is not a case of an actual expansion from the makers of the franchise. It is a mod. So, if you are against using mods, you may not find this particularly good news. But think about it this way, with mods there is no need to wait for a long, long time to get an expansion.

So, who is taking care of the mods? Well, there is somebody who uses the name of XenoX101. This somebody has made use of existing StarCraft details and images from the new units that have been released so far. Then, he or she adds these details and images into the multiplayer mode of StarCraft 2, making those “add-ons” work on a custom map. Yeah, with a little modification magic, you can get your hands on what you could be still anticipating for. Maybe you may want to try what XenoX101 was able to concoct for the rest of us?
The thing about mods is that they won’t be exactly the same as the actual product or the authorized expansion. However, it does give you something to play with for the time being. Maybe you may even be inspired to do something else for StarCraft 2 – Heart of the Swarm. Maybe you can take in some of the comments people have on the game, which is still due possibly early 2012. You can try the mods before the eight new units are finally released.
