Sleeping Dogs: Game Demo Available Now
PC gamers are often made to wait for the consoles to have their share first. Whether is is with demos and betas or even with game releases themselves. However, for Sleeping Dogs fans, the wait is over.
Today the Sleeping Dogs demo became available on Steam, Valve’s digital downloading platform. During the demo you will be able to see if the game is worth your money. To be honest, based on footage that Square Enix have released the game definitely is. And will prove that the company has not been resting on its laurels following the release of Deus Ex – Human Revolution last year.
The demo will through you into the thick of the action with a thrilling chase, on foot, through a busy market place. You aim is to catch a member of a rival gang. Once you chase him down you then have to teach him a lesson. And the scene, graphically violent, shows you beating your rival into a bloody mess. Square Enix also offer you the chance to check the slow motion shooting mechanism, a little like Max Payne 3′s bullet time, in a second demo scene which takes place in a warehouse. All the content that we have seen so far from this game has been very promising. And it seems that Square Enix are confident about their IP too.
Aside from bringing would be fans a chance to try before they buy, Square Enix have also promised that once players have purchased the game, they will be given the opportunity to enjoy an additional 6 months worth of DLC. So it looks like there is a lot of longevity in this game. PC users also get a few extra features including DX11 support and a Hi Res texture pack.
