Rocksmith: Gibson Guitar Bundle Deal Detailed
Ubisoft has just confirmed that it will be offering a genuine Epiphone Les Paul Junior guitar. The company will not be able to do this alone. It is currently partnering with Gibson Guitar. The guitar in question will be placed inside specially marked packages for Ubisoft’s upcoming music title, Rocksmith. Word has it that the video game is designed to be realistic. Only Rocksmith’s optional edition will feature the game, Les Paul. Also included is a Rocksmith Real Tone Cable, which has been custom made for the game. The special pack costs $199.99. I think the price is pretty much just right for what the pack is offering.
The Les Paul-free edition, by the way, costs $79.99 each. The game launches this fall. The regular pack will also include the Real Tone Cable. This cable, after all, is important for players being able to plug into home consoles or PCs so that they can play Rocksmith. Now this will get you thinking and get your mathematical gears turning. If the regular edition costs about $80 and the special edition costs about $200, the difference is $120. Now the Les Paul Junior sells at $129 on its own. So, a discount of $9 does not really sound that great given that there should be collaboration between two companies. Still, it would be a fabulous deal for those who do not have guitars yet.
Ubisoft attempts to reawaken interest in the guitar game genre through introducing a real guitar as part of the gameplay. The game pack also includes 45 licensed songs from artists such as Nirvana and David Bowie. Both editions will be out this fall for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
