Resident Evil – Operation Raccoon City: New Trailer Brutally Realized
If you had any reservations regarding how Resident Evil – Operation Raccoon City will be handling violent scenes and other brutal footage, check out the latest trailer released by the game’s publisher Capcom. The trailer shows that Resident Evil – Operation Raccoon City won’t be pulling any punches. Thank goodness for game ratings, right? If this title gets rated correctly, critics won’t have anything to carp about. Still, it does go to show you how intense the upcoming Capcom title will be.
The video starts off with the player’s crew heading out to meet the enemy head on. They walk all lined up Reservoir Dogs-style and then we’re treated to a quick succession of tightly cropped scenes of various members of the line up dispatching zombies with brutal efficiency. One stabs zombies so fiercely that blood splatters the screen. The sound of tearing flesh and cracking bone seems muffled a bit to reflect reality. As toned down as it may be, it doesn’t down play the amount of pain such moves inflict. Another team member blasts zombies down. Another slashes the neck of a zombie she is using as a shield as a wave of zombies rush her in their trademark slow zombie gait.
Another team member gets up close and personal to a zombie only to blast it with a flamethrower. This trailer makes the point clear that the upcoming March 20 console and March 18 PC release for this title will be nothing short of intense.
