Resident Evil 6: Xbox Marketplace Reveals Game’s online Co-op and Multiplayer
Not only job listings can reveal so much about a game. Even online shops, such as the Xbox Marketplace, can do that. In the case of upcoming video game thriller Resident Evil 6, Xbox Marketplace has apparently revealed some unannounced details. The Capcom game, based on the product listing, will have a 2-player co-op, a 6-player online co-op and even an 8-player “online multiplayer”. The latter appears to be a Mercenaries exercise.
It is surprising that such important information is just posted on the Xbox Marketplace even with no official announcement to back it up. It is still safer to just take in the information without really taking it seriously without the comfort of the official announcement from Capcom. Of course, there is a part of me that hopes that the product listing is accurate and that future announcements will just confirm what has already been revealed. What do you think about the product listing? Is it some kind of revelation? Take note that Resident Evil 6 has been under development for two years now right under our noses even if we were still thinking that the title itself is just part of a speculation brought about by a larger dose of wishful thinking.
Many of the rumors about this particular title have turned out to be true. Would a product listing on a reliable website finally make a mistake about the title? The 2-player co-op will certainly be a good addition to the game, which is a new adventure on the part of both Chris and Leon, who are in different locations. The online multiplayer and co-op games will certainly be a lot of fun. Surely, Xbox Marketplace knows just how important these features are and just how disappointed some players will be if they are, in fact, just errors?
