Resident Evil 6: Introducing a new and more Intelligent Type of Zombie

So little is known about what enemies players will have to face in Resident Evil 6, that at the moment a lot of the articles that I have been reading have really just been speculation. Capcom has really only been specific about two types of zombie so far and they are the people infected with the C-Virus and the blood-thirsty J’avo.

The C-Virus is a really nasty piece of work. It causes those infected to form a cocoon out of there own skin and then the pupate human undergoes a butterfly-esque metamorphosis. But what comes out is not pretty. Breaking through it’s own former epidermis the infected is now more agile, and intelligent than in any other Resident Evil game from this series (I mean the numbered games). The mutants are now able to run and jump, and use weapons, which is certainly going to add a little spice to combat. The J’avo are new to Resident Evil. Possibly a mutation of the C-Virus, these guys are really mean. Really ruthless, and they don’t just want you dead, they want to rip you apart. Players are going to have their work cut out with this lot as they are an intellegent life form. They can use language, advanced weaponry and can self-heal/regenerate.

Just looking at the picture is giving me the creeps, take a closer look at that epidermal cocoon!
