Minecraft: Notch to Release Update 1.9 Version 5
**UPDATE** Minecraft Adventure Update 1.9 pre – release 5 is now available!
Pre-releases galore. Notch and the rest of the Mojang development team have become well-known for bombarding fans with pre-releases before the actual full game of the huge indie hit Minecraft comes out. Jens Bergensten, a Minecraft developer, reveals that the pre-releases are not yet over. In fact, a pre-release 5 will soon be out.
If you can remember, version 4 comes with a part of the still developing End Dimension and some lunar phases. There are more, of course. After the release of the version 4 update, Notch called out a “code freeze.” This is a period when the development team stopped releasing updates and focused on fixing glitches.

Markus “Notch” Persson, Minecraft creator, has not been delivering news on Minecraft updates. He usually is active at providing details of developments, especially via Twitter. Then he said that “there isn’t a lot of interesting Minecraft news these days because of the feature freeze, so I will just say one thing: egg.” Does this mean that he is talking about Ender dragon eggs? He does not even give us enough time to speculate. He has already confirmed that he really was referring to such eggs. So, I guess we will be seeing those eggs in version 5 of Update 1.9. Notch was also working on the death animation for the Ender dragon. He said that this is his “favorite optimization/bug fix/improvement since the feature freeze.”
The full PC version of Minecraft should be officially launching this November on Minecon. In Spring of 2012, it will be out to Xbox Live Arcade. Minecon will also be presenting a playable Xbox 360 version demo. This is with Kinect functionality.
