Metal Gear Rising – Revengeance: Is PS3 the Weakest Link?
Unofficial whispers have it that Metal Gear Rising will be launching on the PS3 platform first. Those are rumors, though. Some say that Sony’s console will not really be at am advantage. Instead, both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will be getting hold of the title early. Metal Gear Rising will be offered to both platforms at the same time because there really is nothing different between the two versions.
There is also some word that the game would be coming to Microsoft’s console first, as developed by Platinum Games. Sony’s console will be getting the game next. However, with Platinum handling both platforms, it is possible that Metal Gear Rising is coming to both consoles at the same time. The use of the 360 controller in a demo could be purely coincidental. Being the lead is important. Why? If the Xbox 360 were the lead then it is highly possible that the PS3 version would be lesser in quality. Ported games are just somehow more difficult to achieve on PS3. If the PS3 takes the lead then the two platforms will be given equal chances.

But do you agree with the belief that the PS3 is the weakest when it comes to porting games. Don’t think you cannot answer this question just because you are not a developer. If you are a gamer who is aware of what has been going on in the video game industry, you may have formed your own opinion or conclusion as to whether the PS3 is the weakest link.
