MechWarrior Online: New Trailer and Details Released
It’s time to buckle up and prepare yourselves for what is arguably the first, real, hardcore, Mech on Mech city warfare action in donkeys years. But all that is of course set to change.
Bringing you MechWarrior Online, featuring Crytek’s stunning CryEngine, Piranha Games have just released a brand spanking new trailer, that reveals a lot about the setting of our Mech on Mech warfare. River City is the futuristic setting for the urban warfare action. What’s particularly nice about seeing this trailer is the way it portrays a genuinely urban setting. So far, from teh closed Beta, we have only heard reports of the various terrains that we have come to expect, such as open-ground, tundra, volcanic desert, or forested. What is great then is that it seems that players will get the opportunity to test their wits against the entirely new challenge of a built up urban area.
Let’s hope the guys at Piranha Games can pill it off. Honestly, from all the footage we’ve seen, it looks like they can. As yet there’s no release date, but we are expecting the game to land over the course of this year. We here at GameBandits, actually cannot wait.
