Max Payne 3: Bullet Time at the Center of Attention
Max Payne 3 developers Rockstar (also famous for the ground breaking Grand Theft Auto series) certainly know how to treat fans who are eagerly awaiting the game’s release. Rockstar have released a new technology and design development video that focuses its attention of the upcoming title’s most eagerly awaited game-play fixtures – Bullet Time.
Despite being a really nice addition to the way the game looks and feels it is actually also the key to surviving Max Payne’s bullet filled world. Bullet Time is not a new feature to the series, but since Rockstar Games took the series over the project entirely from Remedy fans have been eager to see what changes and improvements the GTA developers are going to make. According to the developer video Bullet Time has been improved both in the way it looks and also how it works. The major power behind the changes comes from the powerful physics and animation engines that have been brought to the project by Rockstar, which make the the action seem very realistic despite the implausibility of the moves that Max and his accomplices make.
The Bullet Time cut scenes are a very good way for Rockstar to carry-forward the style of the previous games into the new iteration while at the same time adding their own style. May 18th is the date that we will finally get to see how it all hangs together.
