Mass Effect 3: What is with Typos and Video Games?
What is up with game developers lately? Ok, I am not trying to generalize here but there are a couple of teams that have just managed to produce awesome games while also churning out awesomely awful typos. We thought that the recent Resident Evil – Revalaitons issue was the only one for this season at least but we were dead wrong. Now, it seems that we can already use any spelling that we want.
After all, the development team may be churning out science fiction titles. In the world of science fiction, there are loads of weird spellings that you will find. However, even the weird spellings get established. Once you write those words in the future, you have to spell those invented words right. In the Mass Effect 3 trailer, the action is exciting and the visuals are appealing. If we were not to look closer, we will not even notice that there is a mistake lurking in the clip. Yes, there is a misspelling. So apparently, we can now spell sentinel as “sentinal” and get away with it. Well, most of the times, the clip does get away thanks to the fact that the game looks awesome. It just makes you wonder if a great game should already give you enough reason not to grab the dictionary and search for just a wee moment. Google and online dictionaries may also help out. But it is a simple spelling that the dev team goes with and it was massacred as if the sentinels themselves were the ones that explode from grenade throws.
But hey, we guess that we are all supposed to just turn our backs to the typos and look at just how great the game looks. Is that how things should be? Will you be content with that or would you want to start screaming bloody dictionary?
