Half-Life 3: Awesome Fan Art that you Can Buy!
The devil makes work for idle hands, so they say, whoever “they” are. In the light of the hype regarding the long awaited, much anticipated sequel Half-Life 3 it is nice to see someone putting the time to good use. Artist, Darren Geers has created want can only be described as a marvel in tribute to Half-Life and to good guy Gabe Newell.
As you can see from the image below, the poster depicts Valve’s head Gabe Newell, or Gaben as he is often referred to, looking rather heroic in a G-Man style HEV suit, carrying one of his famous hunting knives and a crow bar. The depth of the image is surprising, and you can watch the artist at work in the making of video below. It is certainly a fitting tribute to Half-Life 3 and to the gaming industry’s Mister Nice. The really great thing is that these posters are available to purchase on Geers Etsy page here for a weighty $65. However when you see the effort that has gone into making it, you will see that 65 bucks is a reasonable price for the work of Half-Life 3 art.

While we are waiting for solid news about the actual title, this level of high quality fan art is a welcome diversion. I thought you all might like to see what I will be asking Santa for this year, this and Half-Life 3 of course!
