Gotham City Imposters: Release Delay – Caused by Platforms or by Beta Testers?
It was first announced that Gotham City Impostors would be released this month, January 2012. But now, Warner Bros. had decided to push the released date to February. Apparently, Monolith is still beta testing for console release. So, fans have to wait a little bit more to get some clown madness.
The original release date is January 10th. So you know how it could have been easily within reach by now. But of course releasing a title on PC, Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade can be a lot of work. It is not easy at all. So we can just forgive the developers for being late. Better that they release late than release something totally half-baked. We would end up complaining a lot about the release anyway if that were the case. Even if the game is already doing well now, a little more polishing will still help. We can only guess that the beta testers are very thorough because Gotham City Impostors had to go through such testing. How do we know? Well, the forum administrator ThunderDragon posted this:
“Given the vast amount of feedback and data we received during our Beta, the Gotham City Impostors launch date is being moved to the February time frame. Your participation was tremendous. Many thanks for playing. Please stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.”
So are they still on beta testing? Are there finding more problems with the game? We initially thought that it was just the difficulty of publishing to several platforms at the same time. Now it looks like the problem includes thorough beta testers.
