Ghost Recon – Future Soldier: New Video Details Weapon Customization
A new video for third person tactical shooter title Ghost Recon – Future Soldier has been released by the game’s publisher, Ubisoft. The video shows how recon ghost soldiers enjoy a battlefield advantage thanks to technology and their customizable weapons. As with previous Ghost Recon – Future Soldier videos, the video is narrated by former Navy Seal, Richard “Mack” Machowicz.
Mack was a sniper for the Seals and has seen some action so he knows what he is talking about. He likened a Ghost Recon – Future Soldier mission to the bin Laden raid that led to the wanted terrorist’s assassination. Ghosts’ missions involve infiltrating an enemy’s base and use their weapons to maximize their tactical advantage. In the game, players can edit certain classes of Ghosts. In addition, these soldiers can access the “Gunsmith” feature so they can perform weapons customization. Ghost Recon – Future Soldier offers a huge amount of customization. Just how huge? We’re talking 20 million customizations huge. This is due to the fact that players can customize differing parts of a weapon. This leads to an exponential explosion of configurations.
When playing the compound scenario, players can choose to use a Thermal Camera and Thrown Sensor as part of their gear. The camera allows players to spot and take out patrolling guards. Once inside the compound, players can use x-ray scopes to find targets behind walls. Thrown sensors, on the other hand, clue players in on the number of opponents inside a location. It also shows where the enemies are. Using this sophisticated technology, players can properly execute retrieval missions with minimal casualties.
