Final Fantasy 13-2: East Meets West as Mass Effect Armor Appears in-game
The Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has one sweet scoop-Mass Effect armor will be made available in Final Fantasy 13-2. The armor can be acquired by interested players through a DLC. The new duds are going to be available on March 27 for the Japanese market. Imagine that-Serah and Noel wearing N7 armor from the Mass Effect canon.
We’re not just talking about East meeting West. We’re talking about one genre (science fiction) slamming head on into another (fantasy). This combination might have all the excitement of chocolate slamming into peanut butter to produce that gastronomic treasure known as Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Or maybe not. If you follow the Final Fantasy series, you’d probably be aware of the loud complaint in some quarters of how the series’ quality has supposedly fallen off its high point in Final Fantasy 7. Regardless, the developers of Final Fantasy 13-2 sure like to pull genre and game mash ups. Previously, we were treated to Assassin’s Creed costumes making it to Final Fantasy 13-2. Sadly, the N7 armor DLC has been announced only for the Japanese market where it will set back interested N7 armor wearers 240 Microsoft points. Let’s hope there is a North America and Europe release coming soon.
