Far Cry 3: World In Conflict Developer Working on Title’s Multiplayer
The multiplayer aspect of Far Cry 3 is getting help from Ubisoft Massive. This crew is responsible for World in Conflict and also contributed to Assassin’s Creed – Revelations. This revelation was made in a tweet from Stephen Totilo of Kotaku. Totilo was attending San Francisco’s Game Developers Conference.
So what are the parameters of this project? According to another game blogger tweeting from GDC, Ubisoft Massive is building an “online universe.” This online game universe will include items from social games and indie games. It appears that Ubisoft Massive is also developing an as yet unannounced massively multiplayer online game. Are the two revelations above related at some level?
Ubisoft’s been busy lately. It finally let fans of the long running historical assassination action adventure series, Assassin’s Creed, in on the setting and details regarding the series’ next installment, Assassin’s Creed 3. Who else got blown away by that release trailer? Anyway, Far Cry 3 will have a tropical setting this time and will test players’ skills as they rack their brains out trying to achieve the objective of the game-escape the island. Far Cry 3 is slated to drop September 4 in North America.
Expect a lot more of the urgent action adventure excitement of previous Far Cry titles in this installment.
