Far Cry 3: Newly Released Trailer Packs Pre-order Bonus Reveal
Drugs will be included in the storyline of the upcoming open world first-person shooter title Far Cry 3. The game’s latest trailer gives us a first hand look at game protagonist Jason Brody’s drug experiences. He pops pills and eats shrooms. Of course, these activities change his perception.
Check out the trailer. It isn’t exactly the trippy, happy, soul exploring, “be one with a higher consciousness” Carlos Castaneda/Timothy Leary type of experience. In fact, his experience gets quite bloody, gruesome, and not suitable for minors. The trailer’s conclusion also shows a pre-order bonus for players buying the title early from GameStop. What’s the bonus? A content pack dubbed “Monkey Business Pack.” This content pack has four missions with Hurk and his bomb-equipped monkeys. If that isn’t funny and absurd enough for you, the content pack teases of “two bonus ways to humiliate your friends.” I wonder what these bonus ways will involve. Let’s hope it doesn’t follow the simian theme and include the way monkeys humiliate each other. I’m not going to go into details but it does involve messy simian waste disposal. Yuck. Let’s hope not.
The UK version of the Far Cry 3 trailer has a different pre-order content pack. UK pre-orders will be rewarded with the “Lost Expeditions Edition” of the game. This edition has two additional missions and you get a flare gun in-game. The only US retailer offering the UK pre-order package is Best Buy.
