Darksiders 2: Wii U Launch Title in Europe
THQ Inc has just mentioned the release date for Darksiders 2 after the new trailer has exclusively premiered at the 2011 VGAs. The videogame will be a Wii U launch title in Europe, according to THQ. The game is at the moment being developed by Vigil games and is set to launch next year on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
In Darksiders 2, you will follow Death as one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. The tale runs parallel to what has been happening in the original game. Death, in the second instalment, has to go through both light and dark worlds while trying to save War, his brother and fellow horseman. War was blamed for starting the Apocalypse before its time in the first Darksiders installment.
THQ VP of Global Brand Management, Jim Huntley said, “We are really looking forward to allowing players to take on the role of the ultimate anti-hero and this trailer gives them a real taste of what it will be like playing Death.” I have to admit that Huntley made it interesting when put that way. Darksiders 2 should be available for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the summer of 2012. Again, THQ has also confirmed that the title will be a Wii U launch title all over Europe.
