Counter-Strike – Global Offensive: Demolition Mode and New Map Revealed
Valve’s Counter-Strike – Global Offensive has been going through closed beta tests for several months now. It appears the beta had a recent update that packs some really nice new features to the game. The game has a new mode called Arsenal: Demolition. This mode can be played in a new small map dubbed Lake. The mode’s game play differs from the standard Counter-Strike experience.
While you’re still looking at a fight between counter-terrorists and terrorists involving a bomb site, the rules are different. For example, you can’t purchase guns. You won’t be able to drop them, either. Instead, you will start the game with an AK-47 if you are a terrorist. If you are a counter-terrorist, you start off with an M4A4. If you score a kill, your gun gets downgraded to a P90. If you score another kill, you get a Desert Eagle. Then you get a shotgun. Finally, you get a basic pistol. Looks to be very challenging and aimed at ramping up your ability to deal with tougher and tougher situations. If you pop multiple kills in the same round, your new weapon will come with a grenade type. The grenade can range from explosive to incendiary type. Once five rounds are over, sides are switched. A winning team is decided after 10 rounds. If you think this is a slow process, you’re mistaken.
Each round whizzes by quickly. Why? There’s only one zone on Lake where units are planted. This makes the action very localized. The action takes place within a house that has many stories. While it may seem limited, you can still spot many places where you can hide.
