Counter Strike – Global Offensive: Complete a Survey and Score a Beta Key
The team developing Counter-Strike – Global Offensive posted details in a recent blog update describing the future distribution of beta keys. If you would like to get a beta key, you have to complete a survey by Valve.
All the survey participants will be placed in a pool. Key recipients will be drawn from this pool of people who answered the survey. What is in the survey? It is just a standard form that is aimed at evaluating your Counter-Strik savviness. It also features an automated scan of your hardware configuration. Want in on the survey? Just copy and paste the following into any Windows Explorer address bar to activate Steam and participate in the survey: steam://takesurvey/2/
You might want to be very honest about your skill level since selection. You wouldn’t want to be a newbie selected and pooled with very experienced players. According to the developers, selection will be made in terms of skill levels in differing waves – one time, only experienced players will be selected, then they might add new players. Selection may also be based on the version of Counter-Strike you play.
Regardless, the bottom line is if you don’t fill out the survey, you don’t get a beta key. Sounds simple enough. Also, current and active Counter-Strike – Global Offensive players can expect to get keys to give as gifts to friends via Steam.
