Call of Duty – Elite: PC Version of COD – Elite is Still Alive
Ah, yes, another “project is still alive” story. Don’t you love these? Just when you were ready to turn your back and shrug on yet another video game project, word comes out that the game project is still under development and still alive. The PC version of Call of Duty – Elite, the stat tracking and first-person shooter community platform for Call of Duty, is still alive and is still being developed. Talk about good news.
Previously, the official Twitter account for Call of Duty - Elite said that Activision could not guarantee if a PC version of the stats platform would be released. Activision had to walk back that statement by saying it “misspoke” when it issued its earlier tweet. As you can probably imagine, many COD PC fans were none too pleased about being left behind by their console-bound brethren.
Well, the platform’s development has turned out to be more challenging than originally anticipated. In an interview with Eurogamer, Noah Heller, an Activision producer, said that COD – Elite PC ”challenging piece of development”. Sadly, he could not supply an update or even an estimated release date. He did say that the platform seeks to “do right” by PC players.
Intriguing language, it would be interesting if they can follow through.
