Call of Duty – Black Ops 2: Quadrotor RC Attack Drone Video
Over the last few days the Call of Duty website has become a hive of activity as the world gears up for the pretty much inevitable announcement of Call of Duty – Black Ops 2. Today the first video, in what appears to be a string of releases appeared on the site. Starring who may (or may not) be an actual Russian. To clarify, I know very little of Russian culture, and if I were going to describe a Russian man, with my painful lack of actual knowledge, I would describe this man. Hence my doubt. But maybe I am wrong. And a prototype Quadrotor RC Attack Drone Video lovingly called Charlène.
The attack drone features not only a birds-eye camera, but also a sub machine gun fitted with a 100-round magazine. You can also see the world as Charlène sees it by using a rather neat tablet computer, that is also the RC controller. The Russian presenter is fairly convinced that the technology is so advanced that it will be 15 years before we see is in a Call of Duty game. Well, seeing as it is on the Call of Duty website right now that clearly isn’t the case. But does that mean that the game that Activision will announce on May 1st, most likely Call of Duty – Black Ops 2, be set 15 years from now? That is an interesting thought. Although maybe that is too similar to a Modern Warfare game. We already know from the source code to the official Call of Duty website, that there are at least plans to mention “Black Ops”, as a hidden script states that Black Ops is a registered trademark of Activision and Treyarch.
There will also be another video launch tomorrow, and by the looks of it videos will be launching right up until the release date. So stay tuned for more info drops coming soon!
