Call of Duty – Black Ops 2: Confirmed Title and Release Date
Well this is it. This is the irrefutable proof that we’ve been waiting for. IGN are now reporting that the long awaited Call of Duty game will officially be known as Call of Duty – Black Ops 2, which is a relief because I have been writing articles for months about it under that name, and to tell you the truth, I don’t fancy having to go back and re-tagging the hundred million or so articles that I have produced.
Anyway, the reason for all this commotion is that a dutiful IGN reader has sent in official Target pre-order cards or at least decent quality photos of them for Xbox 360 and PS3. What is also interesting is the game’s official release date is also stated as the November 13th. The day of that solar eclipse. It’s rather looking like those rumours were true. With that in mind what other rumours can we expect to be true? Among some of the rumours were the fabled multiplayer modes of Escort, Split Spawn, and Equalizer that dumps you on the opposing side when you re-spawn.

We are all supposed to be waiting faithfully for the official release that is coming our way on Tuesday May 1st, but to tell you the truth I am so glad there has been a leak. At the end of the day, the cat was let out of the bag about Call of Duty – Black Ops 2 last year. We’ve all known about it. Activision are as predictable as the sunset, or the rain in Hull, or the inevitable fact that everything that is now alive will one day die. There is little I find more frustrating than publishers treating fans like idiots. Even the source code for their teaser website confirmed the Activision copy-right of the Black Ops trade mark. Activison; always with their tiny carrot and massive stick. At least with these little leaks it takes away some of their fun. They will still rake in the dough though. Don’t you worry about that.
