NBA 2K12: More legends and classic teams added to title
It is really hard to compare NBA teams and players. You can’t simply say Wilt Chamberlain can beat Larry Bird or Kobe Bryant can unleash some serious ownage on Magic Johnson. Each player is not only a product of the particular team backing him, he and the team is also part of the period they belong in. NBA periods are a dynamic mix of ascendant teams and teams on the decline. It is really hard, and technically impossible, to blindly compare one player against another or one team against another.
Thankfully, a lot of the technical hurdles are done away with in NBA 2K12. The latest title in 2K Sports’ long running NBA simulation franchise takes players from their best periods so you can see them head to head with their historic rivals as well as go head to head with guys from later or earlier periods. Scenarios previously reserved for pure speculation and friendly basketball arguments over some cold beer can now be played out on the console screen thanks to NBA 2K12.
